Do you ever read through your old journals and think, "Wow, was that really me?" A few nights ago I was rifling through some boxes and found an old periodical of mine from 2003. At the time I was working at a job I despised and filling page after page in journals with things like, "I feel equally though everyone I know is moving forward, but I'm standing still." I hadn't however figured out what I wanted to do about my job. All I knew was that I wanted to make a change, and I was caught in that unhelpful loop of constantly comparing myself to others.
