"Meet Y'all Once again" is the debut unmarried by American singer Miley Cyrus. It was released on October 1, 2007, as the atomic number 82 unmarried from Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), the second soundtrack album from the Disney Channel original series Hannah Montana and the debut studio album of Cyrus. It was written by Cyrus (credited every bit Destiny Promise Cyrus) with the vocal'southward producers Antonina Armato and Tim James. I don't think I desire to put it on the album. I don't really similar it that much. It'southward just O.K.", she said.[v] Nonetheless, she was convinced to tape it and, once she listened to the finished product, she changed her mind. Chuck Taylor of Billboard felt that, by offer meaningful airplay to "See You Again", mainstream radio stations were getting with the programme. Taylor described the vocal as "a sassy, uptempo stinger that adds appealing youthful fizz to the airwaves" and complimented Cyrus' vocals with comparisons to Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne. "Cyrus [...] at last adds the missing link to Television receiver and moving-picture show acclaim. Alas, FM, better late than never", he ended.[xiii] Sal Cinquemani of Slant Magazine said, "The Hannah Montana star's 2007 unmarried 'Run across You Again' managed to click with non-tween listeners thanks [to existence] gustier than anything her fellow Disney Channel superstar Hilary Duff has ever put to digital.[x]
Mikael Forest of the Los Angeles Times believed the song was "no shortage of crafty tween-rock gems".[xiv] Ash Dosanjh of Yahoo! Music believed the Stone Mafia remix of the vocal was a so "glorious" that it signaled Breakout would practise exactly that.[11] Josh Timmermann of PopMatters referred to the remix as the best vocal on Breakout, describing it as a "marvelous piece of teenaged life set up to club stone beats." Timmermann continued to praise the track, maxim it felt "infinitely more genuine and thoughtful than" any other track on Breakout and that the small-time teen drama fit Cyrus' phonation. "It sounds far less ludicrously melodramatic than it might have delivered by less forceful pipes", he concluded.[12] George Lang of The Oklahoman idea the inclusion of the song's remix on Breakout was used to encompass more musical genres in society to appeal to a wider fanbase.[xv] In 2008, the track was listed as a "Winning Vocal" by Circulate Music Incorporated (BMI).[16]

On the week ending December 22, 2007, "See You lot Over again" debuted at number 94 on the Billboard Hot 100.[17] In the succeeding week, the song ascended to number 78 and, on the week catastrophe February 16, 2008, it charted at its newfound pinnacle of number 17, therefore becoming Cyrus' best-charting try on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing the Hannah Montana-credited "Life's What You Make It", which peaked at number 25 in August 2007.[18] On the week ending May 3, 2008, "See You Once again" became Cyrus' first top x single by reaching its peak at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100.[19] "Come across You Again" spent a total of 27 weeks upon the chart.[20] It as well peaked at number four on Mainstream Top 40 (Pop Songs) and number twenty-ane on Developed Popular Songs in the United States.[20] The song entered at number 86 and peaked at number four on the Canadian Hot 100, its highest peak internationally.[20] Equally of August 2013, "See You Again" has sold 2,456,000 copies in the United States.[21]
In Australia, "Run across You Again" debuted at number 25 on the week ending June 22, 2008. The following calendar week, it ascended to number x and, after five weeks of ascending the peak ten, reached its peak at number six, where it remained for three consecutive weeks.[22] The unmarried was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Clan (ARIA) for the sale of over 70,000 copies.[23] On the calendar week ending August four, 2008, "Meet You lot Again" debuted at number 32 on the New Zealand Singles Chart. It eventually peaked at number 11[24] and was certified gilt by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) for the shipment of 7,500 copies.[25] In the United Kingdom, the track peaked at number xi.[26] [27] Elsewhere in Europe, "See You lot Once more" peaked at number 38 on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles,[twenty] number xiv on the Irish Singles Chart[28] and number vii on the Hungarian Singles Nautical chart.[29]
Live performances [edit]
Cyrus performed "See Y'all Again" live on the 2007 Disney Aqueduct Games held on April 27, 2007, at Walt Disney Earth in Orlando, Florida, as part of Disney Channel's summer-flavor activities. She wore a yellow and blackness-striped tank top, black and white-plaid brim, high knee socks, and black sneakers in the performance.[30] Cyrus also performed the vocal on Idol Gives Dorsum, as she continued to promote the single in the United States.[31] "Encounter Y'all Again" was too a office of the set listing for Cyrus' first headlining concert tour, the Best of Both Worlds Bout (2007–08). Cyrus was costumed in a white tank top, studded jeans, and metallic accessories.[32] Cyrus and several fill-in dancers began the operation on the upper level of the stage, where they proceeded downwards a ramp as they perform dance routines. The song was also used as the penultimate number of Cyrus' Wonder World Bout (2009), her beginning world tour. The performances began with backup dancers in bodysuits marching as they emerged from the bottom of the stage. The banging of a gong appear Cyrus' arrival. She dressed in a white tank elevation and shorts, boots, and a metallic vest.[47] Cyrus and the multiple backup dancers performed elaborate dance routines as images on overhead screens depicted geometric patterns. English language electropop singer Petty Boots recorded a cover version of "See You Again" that surfaced the Net in Dec 2008. In an interview with Digital Spy, Fiddling Boots said, "That's a wicked song! The line 'My all-time friend Lesley said, "Oh she'southward just being Miley"' is awesome. Me and my friend have been obsessing over that lyrics for ages at present, it's getting ridiculous!"[49] Breathe Carolina's act consisted of a balance of pop punk and rock music, which stood out to their record label, Fearless Records.
